Srinagar Medical College Assistant Professor dies in car accident
Srinagar: In an unfortunate incident, an Assistant Professor of Srinagar Medical College tragically lost his life after his car lost control and fell into a ditch 80 feet below the road on NH-58 in Srinagar.
According to the police, the professor was driving his SUV back home on Friday night when he unexpectedly lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the car skidded off the road and plunged into a ditch approximately 80 feet below the road level.

As per the Etv Bharat news report, the doctor was living at the Kailash Hotel near Kirtinagar in Uttarakhand after he moved from his residence in Awas Vikas Ambedkarpuram Kalyanpur Kanpur Uttar Pradesh.
The police identified the deceased as Dr Victor Masih who was working as an Assistant Professor in the Blood Bank at Medical College Srinagar.
After his car fell into the ditch, it made a loud falling sound which caught the attention of the locals. When the local people heard the sound of the vehicle falling, they reached the spot and immediately informed the Kirtinagar police about the accident.
After which SDRF and police teams immediately reached the spot, rescued the doctor, extracted him out of the car and brought him up. Immediately, he was taken and admitted to Base Hospital Srikot. However, due to serious injuries, doctors declared him dead.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
