Surat Doctor with Admission Offers from Prestigious US Universities Allegedly Commits Suicide

Surat: In an unfortunate incident, a young talented doctor who was planning to study abroad allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling in his room at his Surat residence.

It is unknown why the doctor took the extreme step when he discussed his plans to study at George Washington University with his family moments before taking his life. No suicide note was recovered which could have revealed his reasons behind this incident.

According to an Ahmedabad Mirror news report, the deceased was an exceptionally talented doctor who received admission offers from 11 of the world’s most prestigious universities, including Harvard University, ​​​​​​​George Washington University and New York Medical College. He graduated from the prestigious BJ Medical College.

His body was discovered by his mother who went to his room to call him for lunch.

The incident occurred on November 14, when he went to his room after informing his family about his plans to study abroad. When his mother went to call him for lunch, she found his door locked from inside. Despite repeated calling and knocking, the doctor did not respond.

Following this, she called other family members and opened the door only to find the doctor hanging from the ceiling. The incident has left his family in shock, as no suicide note was recovered from the scene.

According to the Daily, the doctor was a talented individual who topped his medical exams and scored an impressive 99.97 percentile in the Common Entrance Test (CAT) last year, making him a top contender for IIM Ahmedabad. However, his passion for public health and epidemiology led him to focus on further studies in this field.
