Theft at NRI Doctor's house, 2 arrested

Jaipur: In a recent breakthrough, Jaipur police have arrested two individuals who allegedly broke into the house of an NRI doctor in the city’s Jawahar Nagar area, fleeing with cash, foreign currency, and bathroom fittings.
The suspects, aged 22 and 23, one of whom goes by the alias "Joker," were apprehended on Tuesday.
The incident came to light after Dr. Ramdayal Magroliya, an NRI doctor who had recently returned from England, filed a formal complaint with the police.

According to TOI, on Monday, Dr Ramdayal Magroliya filed an FIR stating that he returned to Jaipur from England with his wife on the morning of March 28. On the same night, around 10:20 pm, he and his wife went out for dinner. When they returned around 11:40 pm, they discovered that the main gate of their house was open and the locks were broken, while the prayer room was in disarray.
Upon inspecting the premises, the couple discovered that several valuable items were missing, including two passports—one with a visa entry and the other a valid current passport—along with about Rs 70,000 in cash and 1,700 British pounds.
The burglars didn’t just steal valuables; they caused significant damage to the property. In the ground-floor bathroom, the taps, shower, and other fittings were damaged. It was also reported that an attempt was made to remove the boiler by standing on the toilet seat. The burglars had ransacked all the room cupboards, and taps and fittings were missing from bathrooms on every floor. In addition, several brass door handles were stolen, and multiple doors were damaged.
