TN Doctor arrested for allegedly Killing Patient's Daughter After Treatment Failed
Chennai: In a shocking incident a Tamil Nadu-based doctor was recently arrested for murdering the daughter of a patient suffering from renal failure. According to reports, the doctor was treating the patient and when the patient passed away despite treatment, the accused doctor engaged in a heated argument with the daughter and pushed the woman, leading to her death.
The decomposed bodies of the father and the daughter were discovered near Avadi. Initial probe revealed that after the daughter's death, the accused locked the patient's house and fled, DT Next has reported.
Meanwhile, India Today has reported that the accused was in a live-in relationship with the patient's daughter. He reportedly confessed during interrogation that he had pushed the woman to the ground during an argument. As per the Daily, the accused doctor hails from Kanchipuram and he pursued his medical degree in Vienna.

As per the latest media report by Daily Thanthi, the patient was a 70-year-old man, Samuel Shankar, who was suffering from Kidney failure and was undergoing dialysis. He had been living with his daughter in a rented house at Thorumullaivoyal near Avadi in Thiruvallur district. However, for the past few months, their house had been locked. Later, when a foul smell started emanating from inside the house, the neighbors informed the Police.
After receiving the information, Police reached the spot and found both Samuel and his daughter dead. After recovering the decomposed bodies of them, the police sent them to the Kilpauk Government Hospital for post-mortem.
In this connection, the police arrested the accused doctor Ebenezer, who was also in charge of the patient's dialysis treatment. DT Next has reported that during the initial probe, it was found that the patient had died a few months ago despite undergoing treatment. Following this, his daughter engaged in a heated argument with the accused, and during the argument, the accused allegedly pushed the woman, leading to her death. The report mentioned that fearing consequences, the accused locked the patient's house and fled from the scene.
According to police sources, the accused was living in the house with the father and daughter and was in a live-in relationship with the daughter, India Today has reported. During the interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed that he had pushed the woman to the ground during an argument. Commenting on this, a police source revealed, "During a domestic quarrel, he pushed the daughter, and she subsequently fell on the floor and breathed her last."
However, the accused doctor did not confess to killing the patient. Police suspect that he may have died of natural causes. The matter is being investigated further.
