It also demanded that the Government replace IAS officers posted in the NHM, TN Health Systems Prohect, TANSACS etc. bodies in the Health Department with Senior Government doctors in the cadre of Directors.
SDPGA also demanded the State to replace all retired doctors working in the NHM and the Director of Kalainagar Centenary Hospital with eligible doctors in service.
Further, the association members also demanded an apology from the Director of Public Health to express regrets for posting a newspaper painting a bad picture of PHC doctors on the official website and making the PHC doctors spend out of their pocket to run the programme.
The association further mentioned that it had set a deadline for the government on 18.11.2024 to act on security & protection measures promised within three weeks.
However, the doctors pointed out that the "officials are adding fuel to the fire again and again" and therefore, it has resolved to "prepone the protest in the form of non cooperation movement(stop sending reports, boycotting meetings etc) immediately and One day Mass CL in December third week."
"In order to make the protest successful SDPGA ready To join hands with constituents of FOGDA and other Associations to achieve the demands," it added.
