Dr. Nazim was heading to his clinic after leaving his father's house, who was recently discharged from the hospital. While he was on the way, suddenly, his car collided with an auto-rickshaw. He told the auto driver to continue driving, which angered the driver.
In response, the driver called his co-workers at the scene and started beating the doctor brutally. The driver also poked his eye in the process with a sharp weapon which affected his vision. Soon the doctor fell unconscious, and the entire act was captured on CCTV. The gang then fled from the spot.
Medical attention was immediately provided to the doctor. On regaining consciousness, the doctor lodged a complaint against Asim, Farman, Rizwan, Mohsin, and three unknown accused. The Mussoorie police station later registered an FIR under Section 352 of the Indian Penal Code against the accused, news track reports.
The police have obtained CCTV footage and said that they are investigating the matter, adding efforts are being made to arrest them.
