Upset over wedding cancellation, doctor jumps to death in front of train

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a 34-year-old doctor allegedly committed suicide after jumping in front of a moving train on the railway tracks between cavalry barracks and Bolarum railway station.

The doctor reportedly took his life after being devastated over his wedding being cancelled, allegedly due to his baldness.

As per the latest media report by Telangana Today, the deceased was working as a doctor at Basthi Dawakhana in Alwal.

According to police, the doctor recently got engaged in the presence of both families. However, the bride’s family allegedly called off the wedding after learning about his baldness, which deeply affected him.

Besides this, he was also reportedly struggling with personal issues in recent days, which added to his distress. On Wednesday night, unable to cope with the emotional turmoil, he jumped in front of a moving train on the down main line, ending his life.

The railway authorities and local police were alerted after the incident. TOI has reported that the railway police, who reached the spot after being alerted by the train driver, identified him based on the documents he had on him. His body was recovered from the tracks and sent for post-mortem examination.
