Uttar Pradesh: Doctor In-charge of COVID hospital succumbs to virus
The deceased doctor was posted at the Community Health Centre in Rudrapur. He was made in-charge of the COVID-19 hospital in March.
Deoria: In a tragic incident, yet another doctor in charge of a COVID-19 facility succumbed after contracting the fatal virus.
The medical officer is identified as Dr Rajiv Ranjan. The deceased doctor was posted at the Community Health Centre in Rudrapur. He was made in-charge of the COVID-19 hospital in March.
He had tested positive for the virus on August 19 (Wednesday). Chief Medical Officer, Dr Alok Pandey, told PTI that the doctor was admitted to the Gorakhpur Medical College for his treatment.
However, he passed away on August 30 (Sunday).

Back to back death of frontline workers has brought grief into the medical community.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that a senior medical officer and the in-charge of the Amritsar Civil Hospital, who had tested positive for COVID-19 last week, died of a heart attack on Sunday. Arun Sharma, 53, was undergoing treatment in the city-based private hospital for the last 10 days. However, he had lost the battle of his life.
