Woman doctor found dead with needle marks on arm, Family suspects foul play

Bhopal: Just four months after marriage, a woman doctor, serving as an assistant professor at Bhopal's RKDF Medical College, was found dead at her home in Bhopal under mysterious circumstances. Police discovered needle marks on her hand, raising suspicions. However, it remains unclear whether her death was a suicide or a murder.
According to the police, the doctor was found lying dead in her room. During the investigation, officers observed visible needle marks on her hand. They stated that the exact cause of death would be confirmed only after the postmortem examination, which is scheduled for Saturday.
On the other hand, the doctor’s family has alleged foul play, accusing her husband of murdering her. They claimed he was responsible for her death.
However, the husband, a dentist has refuted these allegations, maintaining that he does not know what led to her death. He also pointed out that the room was locked from the inside.

The incident came to light on Friday morning when the husband did not receive any response after repeated knocking on the doctor's door which he noticed was closed from inside. Unable to enter, he sought help from neighbours, but they too failed to open the door. He then called a labourer from a nearby market, who broke the door open.
After entering, they found the doctor lying unconscious on the bed. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. The police told India Today that before the incident, the husband and the doctor slept in a separate room on Thursday night.
After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and conducted a preliminary investigation which revealed needle marks on her hand.
According to a report by Free Press Journal, the police registered a case regarding the matter and have started an investigation. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) also reached the spot and collected samples. The police are currently examining all possible angles to determine the exact cause of her death.
