Himachal Pradesh: Neurosurgeon quits IGMC Senior Medical Superintendent post
"Now, due to domestic circumstances and my personal obligations, it has become difficult for me to continue with the present assignments of the Government service and hence this Notice for resigning from the same," the notice mentions.
Shimla: A renowned Neurosurgeon, Dr. Janak Raj Pakhretia, has tendered his resignation from the post of Senior Medical Superintendent (Sr MS) of Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), citing domestic circumstances and personal reasons.
The Neurosurgery professor was elevated as Sr MS of IGMC by Jai Ram Thakur Government in 2018.
Dr. Janak Raj Pakhretia was posted as a professor at the Neurosurgery department of Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC). He had joined the service in May 2009.
Professor Janakraj has given a three-month notice period to the Principal Secretary, Government of Himachal Pradesh.

"Now, due to domestic circumstances and my personal obligations, it has become difficult for me to continue with the present assignments of the Government service and hence this Notice for resigning from the same," the notice mentions.
"In view of this, it is humbly requested that the application of mine, may kindly be treated as " Three Month Notice ' for resigning from the post of Professor (Neurosurgery) as well from the post of Senior Medical Superintendent, IGMC," stated Dr. Janakraj.
Recently, he attended a Chief Minister function at Chamba's guest house.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the State Association of Medical and Dental College Teachers, IGMC, had asked the state government to create a policy regarding the deputation of faculty members to other medical colleges.
Considering the upcoming National Medical Commission's inspections in the medical colleges at Chamba, Nahan, Hamirpur, and Mandi, the faculty from the IGMC Shimla and Tanda medical college has been posted there on deputation to deal with the shortage of faculty members.
The State Association of Medical and Dental College Teachers, IGMC, is an association of teachers and is situated in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
