Speaking to Nagpur Today, officials confirmed that the complaint has been taken on record and that due process will be followed as per institutional guidelines and legal provisions governing workplace harassment. The committee is expected to record statements from both parties and examine relevant evidence before submitting its findings to the administration.
However, conflicting statements have added to the confusion. The Executive Director stated that no official complaint had been received, while the committee head declined to disclose details, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation, reports The Daily.
The associate professor named in the complaint has denied all allegations, calling them baseless. According to Loksatta, an associate Professor, Department of Dentistry, AIIMS, said, “I will not comment on the exact complaint against me with the AIIMS administration at this time. An internal committee is investigating the matter, and the truth will come out from it. I have not done any wrongdoing.
The case has drawn attention across the campus and among medical professionals. The Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors and other resident doctors’ groups have emphasized the need for a safe and respectful working environment.
