AIIMS Raipur join hands with Bilaspur Super Specialty Hospital to boost healthcare services

Raipur: In a landmark move set to transform healthcare delivery in Chhattisgarh, the Kumar Sahab Swargavasi Dilip Singh Judeo (KSSDSJJ) Government Super Specialty Hospital, Bilaspur, on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur.
The agreement promises to bring cutting-edge medical expertise, advanced training, and research collaboration to Bilaspur, ensuring world-class healthcare for citizens at their doorstep
The signing ceremony was graced by AIIMS Raipur’s Executive Director & CEO, Lt. Gen. Ashok Jindal (Retd), Dean (Research) Dr Abhiruchi Galhotra, Associate Dean (Research) Dr Ekta Khandelwal, and Additional Professor Dr. Rakesh Gupta. Representing the Bilaspur hospital were Medical Superintendent Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Professor Dr. Archana Singh, and Associate Professor Dr. Abhishek Kumar.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh described the MoU as “historic,” noting that doctors and paramedical staff from Bilaspur will now receive continuous training in the latest technologies and advanced medical practices from AIIMS experts.
The collaboration will also strengthen research initiatives and the implementation of new technologies at the state-run hospital. “The direct beneficiaries will be the people of Chhattisgarh, who will no longer need to travel to metros for top-tier healthcare,” Dr. Singh said.
Dr. Singh further acknowledged the encouragement he received from Bilaspur Commissioner Sunil Jain and Collector Sanjay Agrawal, who urged him to visit AIIMS Raipur and replicate its excellence at the Bilaspur facility.
Extending his support, Lt. Gen. Jindal assured that AIIMS Raipur would stand firmly with the Bilaspur hospital in clinical training for doctors, nurses, and staff, faculty exchange programs, collaborative research, telemedicine services, and multi-centric studies. He also thanked the Government of Chhattisgarh for its continued commitment to strengthening public healthcare models.
Renowned globally for its state-of-the-art healthcare system, clinical excellence, and pioneering research, AIIMS Raipur’s association with Bilaspur Super Specialty Hospital is expected to be a game-changer for healthcare delivery in the region.
