Despite challenges arising from a shortage of faculty, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur has registered significant growth over the past two years across multiple specialities, infrastructure development, advanced clinical services and research initiatives. The institute has consistently expanded access to affordable and advanced healthcare services for patients across Chhattisgarh and Central India.
Among the institute’s major achievements are the establishment of Central India’s first Government robotic surgery facility “Devhast”, the setting up of Chhattisgarh’s first Biosafety Level-3 laboratory, landmark success in kidney transplantation, including the State’s first paired kidney transplant in a Government hospital, expansion of advanced nuclear medicine facilities and the inauguration of a second cardiac catheterization laboratory. The institute has also established a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence laboratory and launched the Department of Surgical Oncology, according to the PIB.
In addition, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur has earned national recognition for biomedical innovation, research collaborations, National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories-accredited laboratories, disaster response preparedness and pioneering public health initiatives.
Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Lieutenant General Ashok Jindal (Retired) congratulated the institute’s faculty members, resident doctors, nursing officers, technical experts, paramedical personnel and administrative staff for their collective contribution in strengthening the institute’s clinical, academic and research ecosystem.
He stated that the recognition reflects the dedication, professionalism and patient-centric approach of the entire fraternity of All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur.
