AP disburses Rs 919 crore to hospitals empanelled under NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme
Vijaywada- To fulfil the coalition government's promise of clearing pending dues, Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav announced that Rs 919.13 crore has been released to hospitals empanelled under the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust through a "tri-partite bill discounting" mechanism.
On Tuesday, the Andhra Pradesh government released an additional ₹919.13 crore to clear the outstanding dues of private hospitals empanelled under the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust. The payment applications were processed through the Bill Discounting Portal of the Andhra Pradesh Centre for Financial Systems and Services (APCFSS).
According to KVN Chakradhar Babu, CEO of the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust, 782 out of 785 private hospitals have applied for their pending payments through the 'Tri-Party Bill Discounting Agreement' mechanism.
Meanwhile, the Trust's CEO, Chakradhar Babu, informed the Minister that the outstanding dues were promptly cleared following requests submitted by the hospital through the web portal of the AP Centre for Financial Systems. The Minister reiterated the government's commitment to strengthening health services in the state.
Chakradhar Babu stated that since assuming office, the coalition government has paid ₹5,556 crore to private hospitals affiliated with trusts. With the recent release of ₹919.13 crore, the government affirmed that it continues its efforts to ensure timely payments and strengthen healthcare delivery in the state.
In this regard, agreements were entered into between the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust, hospital management, and the Power Finance Corporation, enabling the direct deposit of outstanding dues into the hospitals' accounts, according to TOI.
