Bihar Health Centre plasters patient's fractured leg with cardboard, Video goes viral
Muzaffarpur: In a shocking incident, a young patient who injured his leg in an accident was allegedly provided treatment with a cardboard carton tied to his fractured leg instead of plaster at a primary health centre in Minapur.
A video circulating on a popular social media platform 'X' showed the man lying down on a bed in the corner of the room, with his broken leg wrapped in a torn bandage and secured with a piece of cardboard.

As per a NDTV report, the patient, in this case, was initially brought to the primary health facility in Minapur, where a cardboard box was allegedly used to bandage the fractured leg injury sustained from a bike accident. Following this, he was then shifted to nearby Shree Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur in that condition for better treatment.
However, the family members of the man alleged that despite being admitted to the Shree Krishna Medical College and Hospital for five days, no doctor visited him and took off the makeshift splint replacing it with a a plaster cast.
The father of the injured patient told ETV Bharat, "Despite getting an X-ray done, the doctors did not apply any plaster. Upon asking, the doctor said that they would be attaching a steel plate to his leg soon. The steel will be transported from Patna, following which Kumar will go under the knife."
As per the NDTV report, Hospital Superintendent Dr Vibha Kumari stated that the patient would receive proper treatment soon and that doctors had been instructed to attend to him. She mentioned that an investigation was underway to determine why no doctors treated him and replace the cardboard splint with a plaster cast.
Denying the allegation of medical negligence labelled by the patient's family members on the part of Shree Krishna Medical College and Hospital, she blamed the primary health centre for putting a cardboard splint on his leg instead of a plaster.
