Clash Erupts Between Two Groups at GMC Rajouri

Rajouri: A disturbing incident unfolded at the emergency ward of Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri late yesterday evening, when a group of individuals brutally assaulted an attendant who was accompanying a patient. The shocking altercation, captured on CCTV, has sparked concerns about the safety and security within hospital premises.

As per the recent media report by Daily Excelsior, Rahil Gupta (32), son of Sham Sunder, a resident of Jawahar Nagar, was allegedly assaulted at his medical shop by AD Singh and his father Netar Singh of Dalore, Rajouri. The trio separately got themselves admitted at GMC Hospital Rajouri.

Later in the evening, upon learning about the attack, the victim's brother rushed to the hospital to confront the attackers. In a subsequent escalation, he attacked both attackers within the hospital premises, leading to a violent altercation. The attack has disrupted the hospital environment, leaving the staff and other patients in shock.

The entire episode, which took place within the emergency ward, was captured by the hospital’s CCTV cameras. The footage is expected to play a crucial role in the investigation and in identifying those responsible for the assault. This incident has raised concerns over security at GMC Rajouri.

Local police have taken cognizance of the matter, confirming that an investigation has been initiated into the case.
