Doctors are like Gods, says Rajnath Singh at KNS Hospital Silver Jubilee Celebration

Lucknow: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has praised the invaluable role of doctors in Indian society, referring to them as ''gods'' for their selfless service, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking at the Silver Jubilee Celebration of KNS Hospital in Lucknow, he also praised the Indian armed forces, likening their role in anti-terror operations to that of skilled surgeons.
Reflecting on the crisis, he highlighted how, while the world retreated in fear of the virus, doctors stood firm on the frontlines, treating patients without hesitation.
Speaking at the Silver Jubilee Celebration of KNS Hospital in Lucknow on Tuesday, Singh also emphasised the importance of good health, calling it the true wealth often neglected in today's fast-paced life, reports ANI.

"In India, good health is considered true wealth. In today's modern era, we tend to ignore our health. This is the reason why people are increasingly falling prey to various illnesses. In our society, doctors are seen as another God. At the time of Corona, when the whole world was running away from Corona, doctors were treating patients suffering from Corona," Rajnath Singh said.
The Defence Minister recalled that it was a "great feeling" for him to have inaugurated the KNS Hospital 25 years ago.
"This moment is a great feeling for me. 25 years ago, I inaugurated this hospital. Dr. Singh left everything and came to India to open a hospital in Lucknow with the spirit of service," Rajnath Singh said while addressing the gathering.
The latter emphasised that Dr KN Singh believed that no one in India should lose their life due to lack of treatment.
Rajnath Singh also lauded the Indian armed forces for their precision in Operation Sindoor, paralleling them to skilled surgeons who struck at the roots of terrorism in Pakistan while ensuring civilian areas were not harmed.
"We work at the Ministry of Defence, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. We do the treatment of terrorists across the border...India initiated Operation Sindoor against terrorism and successfully targeted the terrorist camps located in Pakistan and neutralised a large number of terrorists. Indian armed forces worked like able doctors and surgeons...Just like a skilled surgeon uses his tools at the root cause of a disease, the Indian armed forces too used their tools with precision at the roots of terrorism. But Pakistan is habituated to not mending its ways easily. It started attempts to attack India and target civilians as well," he said.
