Every Hospital in Haryana to get e-library soon: Health Minister Anil Vij
Chandigarh: To advance medical education and ensure medical students have access to the latest medical information, Health Minister Anil Vij announced that e-library facilities will be installed at every hospital in Haryana soon.
The facility will enable the students to get the latest and world-class information easily, especially those pursuing DNB courses. It will be connected with all the medical colleges in the state. The announcement was made while he was at the DNB orientation programme in Panchkula on Tuesday evening as the chief guest.
At the orientation, he said that The Centre has sanctioned an amount of Rs 9 crores for DNB infrastructure, which will include equipment and guest faculty etc and the introduction of the courses will benefit the health department. He said that at present there are 76 seats for DNB courses in the state and the number will be increased soon.

Speaking about e-Upchar, he told The Indian Express, "The world is moving towards digitization and Haryana is also moving fast in this direction. Hospitals of the state are connected with e-Upchaar. The government wants that every PHC should be connected to e-Upchaar. At present health, facilities are being provided on the basis of demand, but after mapping, it will be available to the people of the state on the basis of need. Haryana will be the first state to get the mapping done in the field of health."
He also informed that Haryana will be the first state to get the mapping done in the field of health. Tenders in this regard have been invited and the mapping will be carried out by agency which will reveal how much health facilities are required at which city, town or village level of the state. He also said that at present health facilities are being provided on the basis of demand, but after mapping, health facilities will be available to the people of the state on the basis of need.
Talking about the dilapidated health infrastructure in the state, Vij added, "A separate provision has been made for health-related buildings and soon a survey will be conducted for the dilapidated buildings and they will be repaired".
Discussions have been made regarding the installation of Cathlabs in other districts of the state said the Health Minister. Currently, there are dialysis centres in 21 districts, city scans in 22 districts, and Cath labs in 4 districts in the last 4 years.
Besides this, the recruitment process of 1,250 doctors has been completed in the health department, of which 950 have been selected, and they will start to work in the department soon. However, a booklet named 'Anemia Mukt Haryana' has been released aiming to make the state an anaemia-free zone.
