Patna: The Health Department recently conducted a major crackdown against unlicensed medical centres, putting patients at risk, sealing two clinics in Bhikhanpur and Mundichak. Both clinics were found operating without qualified doctors and lacking basic treatment standards.
The inspection team, led by Sadar Hospital in-charge Dr. Raju and hospital manager Ashutosh Kumar, first visited a centre on Bhikhanpur Neethan Vidyalaya Road. While banners and posters were removed before the raid, the team found operation tables and instruments in a rusted state, and a large quantity of expired Tetvac injections, which could be fatal if administered. A patient register revealed that the centre had been treating patients until Tuesday.

The clinic has been sealed with immediate effect for violating regulations and operating illegally. Legal action has been initiated against the operators. He stated that the operation of illegal clinics will not be tolerated in the district under any circumstances. This is a matter concerning people's lives.
