The clinic is designed for individuals with palpitations, dizziness, fainting spells, or unexplained fatigue.
The Heart Failure Clinic, headed by Dr. Hemant Pathare, provides comprehensive care for patients with acute or chronic heart failure. The clinic offers guideline-based medical therapy, device assessments (CRT, ICD), advanced therapy pathways including VADs, ECMO support, biomarker and echo surveillance, as well as diet and lifestyle counselling. Patients with symptoms such as breathlessness, swollen legs, or sudden weight changes are encouraged to seek evaluation.
The Structural Heart Clinic, run by Dr. Anand Rao and Dr. Kunal Sinkar, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of structural heart diseases affecting the valves, walls, or chambers of the heart. Services include evaluation for TAVR in aortic stenosis, MitraClip for mitral regurgitation, closure of atrial septal defects (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO), left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO), and paravalvular leak management. Patients with unexplained breathlessness, chest discomfort, or abnormal cardiac scans will benefit from this multidisciplinary care.
Speaking about the launch, Dr. Kunal Sinkar, Consultant Cardiologist, Holy Family Hospital, said, “These specialized clinics are designed to provide focused care for patients with very specific cardiac needs. Whether it is someone fainting from a rhythm disorder, struggling with advanced heart failure, or living with structural valve disease, early diagnosis and expert intervention can change outcomes dramatically. Our aim is to make these advanced treatments accessible and to give patients the confidence that their condition can be managed with the best possible care.”
With these clinics, Holy Family Hospital reaffirms its commitment to advancing cardiac care and making world-class treatment accessible to the community. By addressing some of the most challenging and life-threatening heart conditions, the hospital hopes to empower patients with timely diagnosis, specialized therapies, and improved long-term outcomes.
