Jhalawar hospital sealed for using doctor's name fraudulently

Hospital Sealed
Choumahla: In a major crackdown, the Rajasthan health department has sealed a private hospital in Choumahla town, Jhalawar district, after receiving complaints that it was being operated illegally under the name of a doctor. The action was taken following the instructions of Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Sajid Khan.
According to the news reports, the hospital, located on Kundla Road, was reportedly functioning without proper authorization. Officials said the facility was falsely using the name of a doctor to promote and operate the hospital.

Following the complaint, CMHO Sajid Khan ordered an investigation. A team from the health department, along with administrative officials, reached the hospital for inspection. Upon arrival, the operator and several staff members reportedly fled the premises, leaving only a nursing staff member present at the facility during the inspection.
During the inspection, officials found multiple medical instruments, medicines, and an OPD register, all of which were seized as part of the investigation. The hospital premises were subsequently sealed to prevent further unauthorized operations.
Officials expressed serious concern that the hospital was claiming to treat critical illnesses such as cancer, brain tumours, and paralysis, raising questions about the authenticity and safety of the services being offered. The health department has compiled a report on the incident and will submit it to CMHO Sajid Khan. Further action will be determined after reviewing the findings.
Authorities are continuing their probe to identify those responsible for illegally operating the hospital and to determine whether additional individuals were involved.
