Lilavati Hospital set for international expansion with OPD in Kazakhstan
Lilavati Hospital is set to launch its first operational healthcare facility outside India in Kazakhstan in early September 2026. The super-speciality OPD will offer consultations and second opinions across multiple specialties, with complex cases connected to the hospital's Mumbai facility for advanced treatment.
Mumbai: Lilavati Hospital is set to begin its international expansion with the launch of a super-speciality outpatient department (OPD) facility in Kazakhstan in early September 2026.
The facility will become the hospital’s first operational healthcare facility outside India and will provide specialist consultations, second opinions and advanced treatment planning to patients in Central Asia.
According to The Daily, the Kazakhstan facility will offer consultations and second opinions across several super-speciality areas, including oncology, liver and hepatobiliary care, kidney and transplantation, cardiac sciences, neurology and neurosurgery, IVF and reproductive medicine, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, urology, endocrinology and diabetes, paediatrics, and pulmonology. The centre is aimed at bringing Lilavati Hospital’s specialist expertise closer to patients in the region.
Patients with complex medical conditions requiring advanced treatment or surgery will be connected with Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. This will provide patients with a structured pathway to access specialised care at the Mumbai facility when treatment requirements go beyond the services available through the Kazakhstan centre, reports India Med Today.
Lilavati Hospital has more than three decades of healthcare experience and has around 375 consultants and specialists working across more than 40 medical and surgical specialities. Its areas of expertise include transplantation, oncology, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgery, and IVF.

The initiative will also create local employment opportunities while maintaining Lilavati Hospital’s clinical protocols and standards. The Kazakhstan centre is expected to serve as the first step in the hospital’s plans to build a wider international healthcare network.
