Mega medical camp held in Himachal Pradesh

Dharamshala: 6000 people were medically checked up in two day mega medical camp organized on the birthday of late GS Bali at Senior Secondary School, Nagrota, in which around 50 specialist doctors provided their services.

Besides free medicine free testing facility and spectacles were also distributed free of cost to around 2500 people after eye examination. Doctors from AIIMS Delhi, BL Kapoor Hospital Delhi, Rotary Eye Hospital Palampur, Forties, Dr. Radha Krishnan Medical College , DRPGMC Tanda, Himachal Dental College Sundernagar and team of doctors from IIT Delhi and Samaksh Sansthan for visually impaired patients checked up patients in the medical camp. Hearing aids were also distributed free of cost to the people.

Apart from this, smart canes and mobile phones and watches were also distributed to 60 blind children of the state through CPS Kishori Lal, along with this, tourism corporation chairman RS Bali distributed wheel chairs and MR kits to 20 people.

On this occasion Children enjoyed a lot in the children's fair organized in the memory of Late GS Bali at Gandhi Ground, Nagrota, where they provided free facilities like swings and Mickey Mouse for the children's entertainment, while ice cream, jalebis and sweets were also distributed.

The crowd had started gathering in the fair since morning, a large number of children from remote areas had come to enjoy the fair with their parents. People say that 21 years ago Late GS Bali started this fair, the same tradition is being carried forward by the President of Tourism Corporation, RS Bali.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh in a meeting issued a slew of measures including the deployment of doctors, ambulances and essential medicines to ensure the availability of proper medical and health services to the people in the flood-affected regions of Punjab.
