More than 3000 examined at mega medical camp in HP
Dharamshala: More than 3000 people were examined at the mega medical camp organised on the birthday of the late GS Bali at the Senior Secondary School of Nagrota on Friday.
The mega medical camp featured around 50 specialist doctors from various institutions
According to a UNI report, the team of doctors from Dr BL Kapoor Hospital Delhi, Rotary Eye Hospital Palampur, Fortis, Dr RP Govt Medical College Tanda, Himachal Dental College Sundarnagar, and for the visually impaired, the team of doctors from IIT Delhi and Samak Sansthan checked the patients in the medical camp.

Free medicines were distributed, and medical tests were also provided free of charge in the medical camp.
Along with this, an eye checkup was also done, and spectacles and hearing aids were also distributed free of charge to the patients.
Apart from this, food and drink arrangements were also made for the patients during the camp, and transport facilities were also provided for the people to come and go from remote areas. The medical camp will conclude tomorrow, adds news agency UNI.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that in an effort to enhance medical care for patients, over 600 staff nurses and 43 Operation Theatre Assistants (OTAs) will be deployed at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Shimla, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced. Additionally, 30 posts of Medical Officers (MOs) are being filled to strengthen the department of emergency medicines at IGMC, he remarked.
While presiding over a meeting of the Health Department here, the Chief Minister emphasised the state government's commitment to providing quality healthcare services in IGMC and other medical colleges. He highlighted the augmentation of infrastructure and filling of vacant posts for doctors, paramedical staff, and technicians to ensure specialised medical care within the state.
