Muzaffarnagar Health Dept refutes viral video claims over child's death

Duty Doctor Found Dead in Trauma Centre Washroom at GMCH Chandigarh
Agra- Following a viral video claiming that a six-year-old child died in Mirapur due to inadequate medical facilities, the Muzaffarnagar Health Department on Sunday refuted the allegations, stating that the video was misleading and intended to defame the government and the Health Department.
Officials stated that the video is currently being examined and appealed to the public not to circulate unverified information.
The boy has been identified as Mohammad Ahad, a resident of Mohalla Mushtarak in Mirapur. According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday while he was playing with friends in his neighbourhood, when a handcart allegedly struck him on the head.
Locals stated that the children were pushing the handcart when it went out of control and collided with the boy. He collapsed due to a head injury and passed away while being transported to a hospital in Mawana, Meerut.
Following the incident, a video was shared on social media alleging that the child died due to a lack of healthcare facilities in Mirapur.
The individual making the allegations in the video has been identified as Azeem Zaidi, who claimed to hold a senior position within the youth wing of the Samajwadi Party. He stated, "We have a PHC in Mirapur, and considering the local population, there ought to be a CHC here", as reported by TOI.
Subsequently, refuting the allegations, Chief Medical Officer Sunil Tewatia stated that a Primary Health Centre (PHC) is operational in Mirapur, while Community Health Centres (CHCs) are available nearby in Ramraj and Jansath.
Medical Dialogues had recently reported that in a shocking incident, chaos erupted at the Government Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra, after the death of a 45-year-old patient, with his relatives allegedly vandalising the facility and assaulting staff members in the early hours of Thursday.
