Kalahandi: The death of a 25-year-old woman sparked chaos at the District Headquarters Hospital in Kalahandi late Saturday night, with her family accusing the hospital staff of gross medical negligence.

Tensions quickly escalated within the hospital premises as grieving family members expressed outrage over what they described as negligent medical care. The situation turned volatile, prompting the Town Police to intervene to pacify the agitated relatives and restore order.
Speaking about the incident, the deceased’s father said, “She had been suffering from fever for nearly four days. We even administered IV drips at home, but her condition worsened. We rushed her to the hospital, where she was admitted and given another IV drip. However, her condition deteriorated further. When we alerted the doctor, another IV drip was administered, but soon after, she began bleeding from her nose,” reports Odisha TV.
He further added that when his daughter started bleeding, they were sent from one place to another repeatedly. In the meantime, she passed away. He expressed that he wants the doctors to be suspended.
