Power outage at SMS hospital, Medical services hit
Jaipur: A power outage at the Rajasthan's biggest state-run medical facility, the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital, threw medical services into disrray, causing inconvenience to patients. OPD, X-ray, sonography and registration services were impacted.
According to a PTI report, Hospital Superintendent Dr Sushil Bhati said the outage occurred due to rain.

It took around 40 minutes to for the electricity department to correct the fault, he said.
“Services in many blocks were affected for some time due to the power outage. The operation theatre and emergency services in the hospital were not affected,” Bhati said, news agency PTI reported.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that a doctor at the government hospital in the Molakalmuru taluk in Chitradurga district treated a patient under the flashlight of a mobile phone after a prolonged power cut. The incident was captured on camera and was shared on social media. According to sources, the area has been affected by power cuts for the past one week and the hospital is no exception.
