Saidapet Government Hospital to soon have new building: Health Minister Ma Subramanian
Chennai: Saidapet Government Hospital to get a 200-bedded new building soon said Health Minister Ma Subramanian.
The new building will cost around Rs 40 crore and will provide better treatment for the patients decreasing the workload on the hospital.
Minister Subramanian visited here on Thursday to inaugurate the 14 dialysis machines at a cost of Rs. 2.5 crore at the hospital. The funds were provided by the Rotary Club.
He took to Twitter and shared a post regarding the inauguration saying "Today, 14 dialysis machines worth Rs 2.50 crore were handed over to the Saidapet Government Hospital for public use."

While inaugurating the machines, he told DT NEXT that the hospital will also get a new centre, especially for pregnant women. The centre will focus on the quality of healthcare treatments provided to pregnant women.
Questions regarding the shortage of doctors and hospital staff at the Omandurar Government General Hospital were being asked to the minister. He responded positively and denied the fact about the shortage of staff at the hospital.
The Medical Recruitment Board will soon start recruiting 4,000 healthcare workers including doctors, nurses and other staff members said the Minister.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that as a tribute to autistic children, Health Minister Ma Subramanian laid the foundation stone for a sensory garden at Stanley Medical College and Hospital. The occasion took place on World Health Day. The park will cost around Rs 30 lakh. Children with not only just Autism but instead children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and Sensory Processing Disorder will also get great help from the park.
