Vinayak Netralaya Indore de-empanelled from CGHS panel
Bhopal: The Union government of India has approved the de-empanelment of Vinayak Netralaya, Indore, from the list of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) panel for selling the hospital to another third party without notifying the higher-ups.
The matter came to light in a surprise inspection conducted by the Additional Director of CGHS Bhopal, R.S Rawat, along with Dr. K. K. Sharma, SMO CGHS Bhopal, on March 10.

When the inspection team visited the Vinayak Netralaya, Indore, at around 3:15 pm, they found that the hospital located at 203, Lakshya Badgara Crest Tower, Near Janjirwala Square, Above Lari Sarees Indore (M.P) – 452001 is neither in existence and nor found functioning and has been sold-out to another party without informing to CGHS.
Therefore empanelment of Vinayak Netralaya, Indore, has been discontinued from the panel of Central Govt. Health Scheme, Indore w.e.f 14.03.2023.
"Performance Bank Guarantee of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rs. Two Lakh only) submitted by the hospital will be forfeited/released subjected to deduction of penalties and adjustment/recovery of any outstanding dues (if any) after three months or settlement of all the bill, whichever is the latter, from the date of de-empanelment of the hospital as per the rules/MOA." noted the office memorandum issued on March 13.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the five Punjab-based private hospitals had come under the radar of the Health Department for allegedly misappropriating the government funds received under Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana by allegedly using fake medical bills to claim the funds. The state authorities have de-impanelled the name of these five hospitals from the list of beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat insurance scheme.
