Viral video: Cow strolls inside ICU ward of Rajgarh hospital, eats medical waste; 3 staff members sacked
Rajgarh: In a shocking video that recently went viral on social media, a cow could be seen walking inside the district hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh on Friday. In the video, a cow can be seen walking in the ICU ward of the hospital and eating medical waste from the garbage bins found within the hospital premises.
Despite the presence of a security guard at the hospital throughout the day, no one reportedly came to take the cow away, which was roaming freely. The hospital had also reportedly employed two cow catchers, who were also not present when the incident took place, reports the NDTV.
As the video came to light, the hospital administration took action against the staff members.
"I have taken notice of the situation and have taken action against the ward boy and security guard. This incident is from our old COVID ICU ward," said Dr Rajendra Kataria, Civil Surgeon District hospital.
Initially, Prabhuram Chadudhry, Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare of Madhya Pradesh, said that he did not know of any such incident. However, a security guard and two other staff members were terminated from their position after the video went viral.
A cow reached the ICU of the Government Hospital in Rajgarh (MP) to inquire about the condition of the patients. There was no time left for well-being, before she could ask anything, the patient's family members chased her away. Tell me, does anyone do this? pic.twitter.com/EV6pd6lsCG

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about a similar incident where a video had gone viral on social media which shows a female monkey and its baby visiting a private clinic in Bihar's Rohtas. In the video, the female monkey, holding its baby to its chest, reached the clinic of Dr S.M. Khan in the Shahjuma locality and perched at its entrance. The female monkey climbed on the bench and showed its wound. It was injured on its head, while the baby also had leg injuries. Accordingly, Khan gave the injection of tetanus and also spread ointment on the wounds of both the monkeys.
