Viral Video: Mayhem at Delhi Hospital after Patient kin and hospital security enter into clash

New Delhi: A chaotic scene unfolded at Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital in New Delhi after a brawl broke out reportedly between family members of a patient and hospital guards with both sides throwing objects at each other including chairs, helmets, fire extinguishers, and even slippers. The disturbing visual of the incident quickly went viral on social media.
In the viral video, individuals on both sides are seen grabbing every possible object near them and throwing it at each other aiming to injure their targets. Hospital employees present at the scene were seen defending themselves by using a three-chair bench as a shield to protect themselves from getting hurt.
As per a Free Press Journal news report, the ruckus erupted in the hospital's waiting room on Monday night. Although the matter initially started with an altercation, soon escalated to violence. However, the exact cause behind the fight remains unclear.
A woman in the video can be seen making desperate attempts to de-escalate the situation. She tried to alert the police and urged hospital guards to close the gates to prevent further chaos. Despite her efforts, the fight continued.
The incident came to light through a video shared by an X user with the caption saying "There was a ruckus in Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital, chairs and slippers were used a lot. It is said that this clash happened between the family members and the guards. The video has been sent by a senior doctor."
"It is said that this is a fight between the nursing orderlies working in the hospital and the former nursing orderlies. Recently 100 nursing orderlies have been fired from their jobs," added the user.
The video showed several men from both sides, as well as women and hospital staff. Members of both groups seemed to provoke the conflict by throwing heavy objects.
Further details regarding the incident are unclear as hospital authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
