Viral video shows security guards allegedly beat up patient at AIIMS Raebareli
Raebareli: A shocking video has gone viral where four security guards allegedly physically assaulted a patient at All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) Raebareli. The altercation was due to the entry of a patient into the staff-only lift.
In the video, the security guards could be seen allegedly behaving indecently towards the patient. The incident was captured on camera and circulated across various social media platforms.
As per a Free Press Journal news report, the patient got involved in a dispute with the security personnel regarding access to a lift designated for staff members only. The incident was recorded by a bystander at the medical facility and subsequently shared on social networking platforms, quickly gaining widespread attention and sparking public condemnation.
The person who posted the video on 'X' said "In Rae Bareli AIIMS, bouncers beat a patient with shoes, kicks and punches. Whatever may be the reason, this hooliganism is completely wrong."
In response to the widespread condemnation, the Raebareli Police swiftly reacted, directing the Inspector in charge of the Bhadokhar police station to conduct a thorough investigation and initiate appropriate legal action.
Bhadokhar police station in-charge Shivakant Pandey told Amarujala "No one has filed any formal complaint in the matter. If a complaint is received, a case will be registered. It is wrong to beat the patient with shoes like this."
Meanwhile, the Deputy Medical Superintendent of AIIMS, Dr Suyash Singh, has condemned the violence and said that appropriate measures will be taken to address the matter.
Medical Dialogues team recently reported that in a shocking incident, a doctor was accused of assaulting a patient at the District Hospital Mahoba. The disturbing video was caught on CCTV camera and has since become viral on social media, prompting the authorities to launch a probe.
