Woman posing as doctor robs patient of gold at Secunderabad Hospital

Fake Doctor Administers Injection, Robs Patient of Gold in Secunderabad
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly posing as a doctor robbed a patient of her gold ornaments after administering an injection at Yashoda hospital in Secunderabad on Wednesday.
According to the police, the victim had been admitted to the hospital for treatment and was scheduled to be discharged the same day. While she was waiting to complete the discharge process, a woman wearing a doctor’s apron reportedly entered the room and asked the patient’s relatives to step outside, stating that she needed to administer an injection.

Hospital authorities reportedly clarified that the woman was not an employee of the hospital. The victim’s family then filed a complaint with the police, reports Hyderabad Mail.
Police are currently examining CCTV footage from the hospital premises to identify the suspect and trace her movements. Investigators are also checking past criminal records to determine whether similar incidents involving impersonators targeting hospital patients have been reported.
The incident has raised concerns over patient safety and security in healthcare facilities, particularly regarding unauthorised individuals gaining access to patient wards while posing as medical staff.
