Women's Health Screening Camp held at Police Convention Centre
Kakinada: A free mega medical camp was organized on Wednesday at the Police Convention Centre to mark International Women's Day, screening over 500 women, including members of police families, women police officers, and home guards, for various health issues.

The Kakinada District police administration, in cooperation with the Kakinada Medicover hospital, organised the free medical camp, reports UNI.
A team of specialist doctors from Medicover hospital screened the women for various ailments.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that Dr Tanajirao Sawant, Maharashtra's Health and Family Welfare Minister, has been internationally honoured for his significant contribution to public health by organizing the world's largest medical camp. This milestone achievement earned him a certificate from the International Book of Records, officially recognizing the scale and impact of this unprecedented event.
The historic medical camp took place on July 18th, 2024, in Pandharpur, a well-known pilgrimage town in the Solapur district of Maharashtra. The event was an enormous success, attracting a staggering 15,12,774 participants who received medical check-ups, making it the largest gathering of its kind globally. To manage such a vast operation, a dedicated team of 7,500 doctors and paramedics was assembled, all working in unison to provide essential health services to the attendees.
