Apart from resident doctors from various specialties, the conference also witnessed the presence of several Medical Directors, Presidents and Past Presidents of Medical organisations such as Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Delhi Medical Council (DMC), motivational speakers and many more.
FAIMACON conference was inaugurated in the Presence of the National President of IMA, Dr. Sahajanand Prasad Singh, Dr. Suresh Kumar, the Medical Director of Lok Nayak Hospital, Dr B L Sherwal ( Director Safdarjung hospital) and Dr R K Dhamija ( Director IHBAS), Delhi Medical Council National President Dr. Arun Kumar Gupta, Dr. Prem Aggarwal, past president of DMA, and Dr. Vinay Aggarwal, Past President of IMA.
The conference started with FAIMACON National Quiz and Poster Presentation and it was followed by an workshop on Basic Life Support (BLS) course. Speaking about the same, Dr Rafia Khan, National Spokesperson of FAIMA said, "We wanted to impart how a common man can save the patients' life if suddenly the patient collapses. Sometimes the Bystanders can also save the life. We informed all the young doctors about the recent guidelines regarding Basic Life Support. Besides, we also gave them opportunities to practice using hands on mannequin."
Dr. Prakhar Dagar from Safdurjung Hospital, who is a renowned singer in the medical fraternity and especially known as a Bhajan singer, took part in the musical concert of the conference.
During the event, which witnessed 150 plus delegates and young doctors, National Healthcare Excellence Award was distributed to more than 50 young medicos belonging to various specialties. Speaking about the conference, Dr. Khan added, "FAIMA has been working for the betterment of the resident doctors. We especially address the issues about the resident doctors who are treating patients day-in and day-out. We had resident doctors from various specialties to share their experiences. Additionally, we were graced with the auspicious presence of Medical Directors, Presidents of IMA and DMC."
"We were overwhelmed since they took out their precious time to attend the conference. Basically our conference was in order to bring resident doctors from various specialties under one platform," she added.
