NBE extends applications deadline for DNB, DrNB Final Theory Exam June 2021

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the extension of the last date for submission of the applications for DNB, DrNB Final Theory Examination June 2021.

All the concerned candidates who are vying to appear for DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination June 2021 are advised to take note of the following details as published by the Natboard on its official website.

The last date for submission of the applications for DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination June 2021 has been extended to 5th August 2021, in order to enable the unsuccessful candidates of DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination of December 2020 session to apply.

It is mandatory for DNB/DrNB trainees who are eligible to appear in a forthcoming DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination to submit their Theses for Assessment at least six months prior to the Examination.

DNB/DrNB trainees who are eligible to appear in the DNB Final Theory Examination - June 2021 were scheduled to submit their theses by 31st December 2020. However, NBE had been receiving numerous requests both from trainees and Accredited Institutions to extend the last date for submission of Thesis, as trainees have not been able to complete their Thesis-writing due to the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.

Thus, the last date for submission of Thesis by DNB/DrNB trainees who are eligible to appear in the DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination - December 2021 Session, was extended by a period of three months, i.e., till the 30th of September, 2021, as a 'Special Case'.

According to the earlier NBE notification, the Natboard shall conduct the DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examinations of June 2021 session on 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th August 2021 at various examination centers across the country.

As per NBE norms, writing a Thesis is essential for all DNB/DrNB trainees towards the partial fulfilment of eligibility for the award of the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Doctorate of National Board (DrNB) Degree.
