NBE Invites Applications from doctors seeking grant of faculty title- NBEMS Honorary Professor, all details here
New Delhi- The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has invited online applications from desirous medical professionals for the grant of the faculty title “NBEMS Honorary Professor”.
Interested individuals can fill out the application form by accessing the “Accreditation” link on the official website of NBE. However, faculty need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria before applying for the grant of Faculty title as mere submission of the application form will not guarantee the grant of the faculty title. It is subject to fulfilment of all required minimum eligibility criteria and approval of the Competent Authority, the official notice in this regard stated.
The applicant must possess the Post PG experience in the concerned speciality either as an NBEMS faculty or consultant on a full-time basis for a particular DNB/DrNB course in any of the NBEMS accredited hospitals/institutions as follows-
Broad Specialty courses | 18 Years |
Super Specialty courses | 16 Years |
04 Research Publications in Indexed Journals.
A faculty can be considered for a grant of title irrespective of whether the prescribed minimum requisite experience is in continuity or not.
Meanwhile, the notice has clarified that “the experience mentioned by the applicant in his/her application form for a DNB/DrNB course in any of the NBEMS accredited departments will be considered only if he/she was an approved faculty by NBEMS for that particular period or was working in the concerned accredited department on a full-time basis. This also includes Post PG experience (prior to becoming a DNB/DrNB faculty) obtained working on a full-time basis in the concerned accredited department. Working on a part-time/visiting basis or in a non-accredited department shall not be considered towards experience for grant of NBEMS Honorary Professor”.
However, the notice further added that NBEMS reserves its absolute right to make any addition/deletion to the prescribed eligibility criteria at any time as deemed necessary therefore the decisions so taken by the NBEMS regarding grant/non-grant of Faculty Title will be final and binding.
