New Delhi: After inviting applications for Annual Review of Accreditation for this year 2020, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has now notified the accredited institutes about the realignment of the accreditation period of DNB, FNB courses.

NBE accredits institutes for DNB /FNB courses on a provisional basis for a period of five years. It is mandatory for the accredited hospitals which are in the 2nd /3rd /4th year of their ongoing accreditation cycle to participate in the Annual Review of accreditation by submitting the online application form. The accredited hospitals in the 1st or 5th year of their ongoing accreditation cycle are not required to participate in the Annual Review of accreditation.

All NBE accredited institutions are hereby required to see the accreditation period for DNB /FNB courses which has been aligned as tabulated below:

Accordingly, the accreditation period for the Broad Specialty courses has been realigned so that the ongoing accreditation in the 5th year will end in December. Likewise, the ongoing accreditation period for the Super Specialty and Fellowship courses shall end in June of the 5th year of accreditation.
Annual Review of all the accredited hospitals is mandatory in the 2nd, 3rd & 4th year of the accreditation cycle in which the accredited hospital shall be assessed for continued fulfilment of the accreditation criteria.
All NBE accredited hospitals /institutions are advised to check the correct duration of accreditation of their ongoing DNB /FNB programmes. This can be checked under the link NBE Accredited Seats after login at Online Accreditation Application Portal.

The NBE had earlier invited applications from the concerned institutes for Annual Review of Accreditation for this year 2020. Along with the invitation, the NBE has released necessary information including fee, schedule and procedure for the concerned hospitals.

The list of hospitals along with DNB/FNB courses for which application form for Annual Review of accreditation has to be submitted is indicated below:

Procedure for submission of online application form for Annual Review:
(i) Hospital to log in at https://accr.natboard.edu.in with it's User ID and Password which is available with the hospital
(ii) Click on "Annual Review" option from the left panel
(iii)The list of courses for which Annual Review for the year 2020 has to be submitted will be displayed.
(iv) Online application form for Annual Review has to be submitted separately for each specialty
(v) Click on "Proceed to Fill the Annual Review Form" button for specialty concerned.
(vi) The following information is to be provided:
ï‚· Existing & new faculty along with online submission of Form 16/16A and 26AS (downloaded from traces) for the F.Y. 2019-20
ï‚· Upload MoU where the candidates have to be posted for DNB training to other recognized hospitals/institutions
ï‚· Stipend Details
ï‚· Departments in the hospital and beds allocated to each department.
ï‚· Upload Original Scanned copy of PCB certificate
ï‚· IPD and OPD case load for the Calendar year 2019 (wherever applicable)
ï‚· Number of Major and Minor Surgeries/procedures for the calendar year 2019 (wherever applicable).
(vii) Upload Declaration by the Hospital (Click here to download the proforma for Declaration)
(viii) Payment of Annual Review Fee of Rs. 11800/- per Specialty Through Online Payment Gateway.
(ix) After successful payment of Annual Review Fee, the form is Submitted and preview page will appear.
Kindly note that the payment of annual review fee shall be acceptable through online Payment Gateway only. There is no other mode of payment of fee including NEFT/RTGS.
The accredited hospital may note that if the application form for Annual Review is not submitted, the DNB /FNB seats will not be considered for admission /counselling.
