NBE releases revised cut-off date for DrNB Direct 6 years 2020 admission candidates.
New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the revised cutoff for DrNB Direct 6 years 2020 admission candidates.
NBE shall conduct the DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examinations of December 2021 session on 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th December 2021 at various examination centers across the country.
In terms of the clause 5.4.1 of the Information Bulletin for DNB/DrNB Final Examinations – Dec 2021:
"Candidates enrolled for Direct 6-year courses (Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgery and Neurosurgery) can take Part–I Examination on completion of their 2 years of DrNB training by the prescribed cut-off date subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria. The cut-off date for completion of 2 years DrNB (Part I) training for the purpose of eligibility for DrNB Part I Examination December 2021 is 30th June 2022."

In view of the completion date of 2 years of training for trainees who have joined DrNB Direct 6-Year Programme in 2020 admission session being 30th September 2022, the aforesaid Clause 5.4.1 should be read as under:
"Candidates enrolled for Direct 6-year courses (Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery,Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgery and Neurosurgery) can take Part–I Examination on completion of their 2 years of DrNB training by the prescribed cut-off date subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria. The cut-off date for completion of 2 years DrNB (Part I) training for the purpose of eligibility for DrNB Part I Examination December 2021 is 30th June 2022*."
* The cut-off date for completion of 2 years of DrNB training for Direct 6-year trainees of 2020 admission session shall be 30th September 2022 as the completion date of their 2 years training is up to 30.09.2022.
