NEET SS 2020: NBE issues corrigendum for prior qualifications in Info Bulletin
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has freshly released a corrigendum to the Information Bulletin for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Superspecialty NEET SS 2020 concerning the test's prior qualifications.
The NBE had recently invited applications for NEET SS 2020. NEET-SS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various DM/MCh courses as per the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2016. National Board of Examinations also utilizes the merit generated through NEET SS for admissions to its DNB Superspecialty courses.
The NEET SS is conducted by NBE as per the schedule of admissions notified in Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations (PGMER), 2000. No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to DM/MCh courses as per the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2016 w.e.f. 2017 admission session. Qualifying NEET-SS is mandatory for entry to DM/MCh courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country.
Application form for NEET SS 2020 can be submitted only online at www.nbe.edu.in from 3rd August (3 PM onwards) to 23rd August 2020 (till 11:55 PM).
Now via its recent notice, the NBE has notified the concerned NEET SS candidates about the correction in the prior qualifications mentioned in the information bulletin just released by the NBE.
In accordance with the MCI Letter No 23(1)/2020- Med/113507 dated 07-08-2020, the prior entry qualifications for certain Superspecialty courses as mentioned in the Annexure – C of the Information Bulletin are to be read as under:

Annexure – B of the Information Bulletin is to be read in light of changes mentioned above.
The NatBaord has declared that it will be conducting the Social Distanced - Computer Based Test (SD-CBT) in a safe and secure environment using touch free processes maintaining social distancing norms wherever needed. National Board of Examinations reserves its rights to review the test day processes of conduct of CBT in wake of the changing scenario of COVID-19 pandemic, it further stated.
The major changes concerning the exam day check for NEET SS this year include: Frisking (Body pat as well as HHMD) will not be done while social distancing is in effect and all candidates will be checked at the entry point for fever with the thermo guns. In case, any candidate is observed to be having above normal temperature (> 99.14 Degree F) or displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 infection, he/she will be allowed to take the examination in a separate isolation lab.
