Telangana: 3897 posts sanctioned for 9 Govt medical colleges
Hyderabad: Taking a step forward in boosting medical education and healthcare in the state, Ministry of Health, Medical, and Family Welfare T Harish Rao announced the sanction of the creation of 3897 posts in various categories for the nine new government medical colleges and attached government general hospitals in Telangana.
In the order issued by the Special Chief Secretary, K Ramakrishna Rao (Finance department) on November 30, mentioned that the state government has sanctioned the 3897 posts in various categories under the administrative control of Director of Medical Education, Hyderabad following the National Medical Commission norms.
Out of the 3897 posts, 433 posts have been created per college in 9 new Medical Colleges and attached Government General Hospitals at Rajanna Sircilla, Kamareddy, Vikarabad, Khammam, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Komarambeem Asifabad, Janagoan and Nirmal.

As a result of careful analysis of the proposal, the move was made to advance the medical field by sanctioning the creation of 3897 posts in the mentioned medical colleges and hospitals across the state.
"The HM&FW Department shall obtain the concurrence of the Finance Department before initiating measures to fill up the posts sanctioned in this order, wherever service rules prescribe direct recruitment," read the order.
"The HM&FW Department are requested to take necessary further action in the matter accordingly," adds the order.
Taking it to Twitter, Minister Harish Rao posted "Big Boost to #AarogyaTelangana, Under the visionary leadership of #CMKCR garu to provide accessible Healthcare for all. TS Govt accorded sanction for creation of 3897 posts in various categories 9 Medical Colleges & attached Govt General Hospitals under Director Medical Education."
