Telangana: 45 Assistant professor posts sanctioned for Suryapet Medical College
Suryapet: The Suryapet Government Medical College in Telangana has been sanctioned with posts of 45 new assistant professors by the state government. The decision was taken with an aim to take the medical services to more people and to the remote areas of the region.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao gave the final order for the appointments upon the request of the Energy Minister and local legislator G Jagadish Reddy. Expressing his gratitude, Minister Reddy on Wednesday thanked the CM for sanctioning the posts in one go.
The sanctioned posts of assistant professors include 5 in the General Medicine department, 7 posts of general surgeon, 3 posts of orthopedic, 5 posts of paediatrics, 1 of ENT, 8 of OBG, 7 of anaesthesia, 1 of anatomy, 2 of pathology, 1 of microbiology, 1 in forensic medicine, 3 of radio diagnosis, 1 of ophthalmology, and 1 of community medicine.
Minister Reddy also thanked the Minister of Health and Finance, Harish Rao. He said that these appointments show the revolutionary changes in the education and medicine field after the CM came to power, as per a media report in Hans India.
He further added that the new appointments would help in extending the medical services to remote areas.
The CM made modern medicines available to the poor and also made proper appointments, which shows his love for the common people, said Reddy.
Medical Dialogues team had last reported about the establishment of the largest stem cell manufacturing plant in Hyderabad by the US-based StemCures. The Telangana government had released an order stating that the plant would create an investment potential of around USD 54 million and employment potential for around 150 people in a couple of phases.
