Telangana: Govt Doctors allegedly stitch up woman's incision twice post C-section
Hyderabad: The doctors at the Mancherial District Headquarters Hospital have reportedly botched up the first stitch-up of a woman following her C-section delivery due to which the doctors stitched up the incisions twice.
The New Indian Express reports that the family members said that the woman, identified as J Begum, from ACC colony was admitted to the hospital on June 13. After normal delivery was seen as difficult, the doctors performed C-section on her on June 15 following which she gave birth to a child.

However, family members alleged that the incisions were not properly stitched due to which she began bleeding subsequently. She was discharged on Wednesday but was again taken back to the operation theatre doctors stitched up the incisions once again.
The woman was brought back to the ward in a wheelchair. The family members of the woman alleged that the incident took place due to the negligence of the doctors during the surgery. They subsequently registered a complaint with the district collector seeking action against the doctors, reports TNIE.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported a case of medical negligence where the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Punjab had held Mohali-based Max Super Specialty Hospital and its surgeon guilty of medical negligence while performing Retrograde Pyelogram (RGP) and Ureteroscopy (URS) surgery upon a patient, whose ureter got damaged in the process. Such a decision was taken by the State Consumer Court as it took note of the fact that the hospital and the surgeon Dr Rai, withheld pre-operative investigations and conservative management record, which was required before the operation. Further, the pre-operative consent had also not been taken by them.
