USV Acquires 79% Stake in Wellbeing Nutrition, Values D2C Startup at Rs 1,583 Cr

New Delhi: USV Pvt Ltd, widely recognised for its leading brands in diabetes and cardiovascular therapy, has acquired a 79 percent stake in clean-label nutraceutical company Wellbeing Nutrition. The transaction values the direct-to-consumer (D2C) wellness startup at Rs 1,583 crore.
The acquisition marks USV’s strategic entry into the rapidly expanding consumer wellness space, as per the Moneycontrol report. The move is expected to accelerate the Mumbai-based pharmaceutical firm’s presence in segments driven by premium nutrition, preventive healthcare, and digitally led purchasing trends, while complementing its future focus on innovation-oriented therapies such as GLP-1.
Wellbeing Nutrition has emerged as a fast-growing premium player known for its science-backed, clean-label offerings, including capsules, melts, effervescent tablets, and whole-food-based formulations. The brand has built a strong D2C footprint supported by innovative delivery formats and high-quality natural ingredient sourcing.
According to company projections, Wellbeing Nutrition has recorded approximately 120 percent growth over the past two years and is on track to surpass Rs 450 crore in revenue by FY27. The startup has also attracted early investments from prominent backers such as Hindustan Unilever and Fireside Ventures.
The company has established an omni-channel presence spanning its own digital platforms alongside broader retail availability, strengthening its positioning within India’s premium nutraceutical market.
