Healthtech Startup CURAPOD Raises Rs 20 Cr to Scale Wearable Pain Management Technology

New Delhi: Healthtech startup CURAPOD has raised Rs 20 crore (around USD 2.2 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by V3 Ventures, 3i Partners and Ideaspring Capital, according to an Entrackr report.
The startup is backed by medical technology firm Litemed, the filing noted.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate research and development, enhance CURAPOD’s wearable device and companion app, scale manufacturing and expand go-to-market efforts, the company said. It also plans to strengthen its direct-to-consumer presence, expand partnerships with gyms, physiotherapy centres, and sports medicine networks, and improve operational efficiencies.
Founded in 2022 by Sri Velliyur and Surya Maguluri, CURAPOD develops wearable, non-invasive pain management devices focused on musculoskeletal conditions. The brand’s device uses photobiomodulation therapy and is designed to address conditions such as back pain, neck pain, knee pain, joint disorders, muscle stiffness and sports-related injuries.
The FDA-registered device supports more than 30 musculoskeletal conditions and offers a drug-free alternative to conventional pain management methods. CURAPOD follows a clinician-led adoption model and is expanding its footprint across India.
The funding comes amid strong investor interest in healthtech startups in India, with the sector continuing to draw capital for solutions spanning diagnostics, digital therapeutics and wearable medical technologies, reports Entrackr.
