290 bottles of Codeine Phosphate recovered in JnK

Srinagar: In a recent search operation, Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered 290 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from a house and arrested the accused in Panthachowk area of Srinagar.

Panthachowk Police Station conducted the operation at the residence of Irfan Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Athawajan, Police said.

Based on a tip-off, the search operation was carried out in the presence of the Tehsildar Panthachowk.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 05/2025 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is currently in progress, UNI reported.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, in a joint operation with the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB), seized illegally stocked and sold cardiac stimulant drugs, Termin Injections and Termiva Injections (Mephentermine Sulphate Injections), from Bariga Akash in Manikonda Jagir, Ranga Reddy District.
