Ajanta Pharma confirms IT Department search; says process still underway
IT Dept searches Akums Drugs, it subsidiaries offices
Mumbai: Ajanta Pharma Limited has informed on BSE that the Income Tax Department conducted a search at some of its offices and manufacturing units on August 19, 2025, under the Income Tax Act, 1961. The search proceedings are currently ongoing.
The company said it is fully cooperating with the officials and providing all clarifications and details sought. "We will continue to provide any further clarification /information that may be required," it added.
It assured that business operations have continued as usual and remain unaffected by the search.
Ajanta Pharma also dismissed social media rumours. The company clarified that the significant movement observed in the price of its shares across exchanges in the recent past is “purely market-driven.”
