AstraZeneca Pharma India CFO Bhavana Agrawal Steps Down
Bengaluru: AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited has announced the resignation of its Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Bhavana Agrawal, following her appointment to a regional role within the AstraZeneca Group. The company informed the stock exchanges that the resignation will take effect from the close of business hours on August 31, 2026.
The company disclosed the development under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, stating that Bhavana Agrawal has communicated her decision to step down from the position of Chief Financial Officer (Key Managerial Personnel) upon her transition to a new regional assignment within the AstraZeneca Group.
In her resignation letter dated July 20, 2026, addressed to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors of AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited, Bhavana Agrawal stated that she was resigning from the position of Chief Financial Officer with effect from the close of business hours on August 31, 2026, pursuant to her appointment to a regional role within the AstraZeneca Group. She requested the Board to accept her resignation and expressed gratitude to the Board members, the senior management team, and her colleagues for their support during her tenure.
The company also disclosed the details of the resignation in accordance with the SEBI Master Circular dated January 30, 2026. It stated that the reason for the change is the resignation from the position of Chief Financial Officer, with the effective date being the close of business hours on August 31, 2026. The company further clarified that no brief profile is applicable in the case of resignation, Bhavana Agrawal holds no shareholding in the company, and there are no disclosures regarding relationships between directors.
