Biocon appoints Rajesh Umakant Shanoy as Company Secretary, Compliance Officer

Bangalore: Biocon has announced the appointment of Rajesh Umakant Shanoy as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the company.

This follows the cessation of Ekta Agarwal as the Interim Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the Company with effect from close of business hours of September 09, 2025.

"We would like to inform you that based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors at its meeting held on September 09, 2025 has approved appointment of Rajesh Umakant Shanoy (ICSI Membership No.: ACS 16328), as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer (being Key Managerial Personnel) of the Company with effect from September 10, 2025 pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 6 of SEBI Listing Regulations and Section 203 of the Companies Act, 2013," Biocon stated in a BSE filing.

Rajesh Umakant Shanoy is a qualified Company Secretary, Cost Accountant and CIMA (Strategic level) (UK), with overall more than 24 years of rich experience in corporate secretarial, legal, financial, and cost and management accounting functions across sectors, including manufacturing, chemicals, media and financial services.

Prior to joining Biocon, he was working with Bajaj group since Dec 2011, including overseeing compliance of the Companies Act, SEBI and allied laws for Bajaj Finance Limited and its two subsidiaries.

From April 2017, he headed the Corporate Secretarial function of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Limited. Prior to this, he has worked with leading organizations, including Akzo Nobel Chemicals India Limited, Deepak Fertilisers and Indiacom Limited.
