Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association to establish Technology and Training Center in Hyderabad
The Technology center will act as a centralized location for high end research and testing.
Hyderabad: Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association (BDMA) will set up Technology and Training center at Jeedimetla here.
This is first of its kind in the country where an industry association is coming forward to establish a skill upgradation center to the employees of their industry.
The proposed facility is coming up on a one acre land allotted on long lease by TSIIC and will be operational from next month, a release said on Thursday.
The Technology center will act as a centralized location for high end research and testing.
The proposed facility will strengthen the role of the Pharma Cluster as a collaborative and competitive landscape for Pharmaceutical manufacturing to push the sector to newer heights.
It will also act as a knowledge center for the sector to stay updated with the new research and innovations around the world.
Mr. R K Agrawal, National President BDMA said The Training center is aimed at providing specific training to manpower engaged in the manufacturing operations and quality control in API industry.
Training will be given to fresh graduates making them suitable for bulk drug industry where member units can train their new recruits.
Also specialized training will be given to existing staff to upgrade their skills in the pharma sector. There is huge requirement of skilled manpower in view of upcoming Hyderabad Pharma City and industry growth.
The entire state-of-the art facility is being put up with contributions from member industries. We are happy to announce that, Dr. B Parthasaradhi Reddy, Chairman, Hetero Group donated Rs One crore and expect many more big units will come forward with contributions and make this facility a role model.
